JR Shin Osaka Station

JR Shin Osaka (Oosaka) station
is a major train stop for the Shinkansen on the Tokaido Sanyo line.  This is where all the bullet trains (Hikari, Kodama and Nazomi) from Tokyo stop or terminate.  Also at this station the bullet trains (Hikari, Kodama, Nazomi and Sakura) to Kagoshima and Hakata (Fukuoka) originate.

Osaka is the major city in Kansai Region and the third largest city in Japan after Tokyo and Yokahama.  Ancient capital of Japan Kyoto city and bustling international city of Kobe are less than twenty minutes from the Shin Osaka Station.

Shin Osaka station mainly services the Bullet Trains, but the regular JR lines (including Limited Express trains such as "Ocean Arrow") do stop at Shin Osaka station.  For Osaka the JR Umeda station serves as the hub for the regular JR lines.  Subway "Midusouji" line has a stop at Shin Osaka station.
